Screen Printing and Custom Clothing

Screen printing is an excellent process of printing that can be fully customizable and can be placed on many different materials and surfaces, including plastic, glass, metal, paper, and more. Screen printing is often used for designing t-shirts, posters, logos and much, much more. The process of screen printing is actually quite simple. A mesh panel holds a stencil of the area that does not need ink, and then a thick dye is forced through the mesh onto the surface. This is usually accomplished with a roller, but is sometimes done with a hand squeegee.

The idea of screen printing is actually quite a bit older than most people would imagine. The process actually dates back to the ancient east, where Chinese cultures were known to use screen printing. Later, when the process was adopted in England, silk screening was introduced, using a piece of silk with ink forced through to the design area. Screen printing was popularized in the 1960s when the famous artist Andy Warhol used the method to create much of his art, including his most famous Marilyn Monroe portrait. In modern times, screen printing is a very popular method of creating t-shirts and posters.

Now, many online websites offer customized screen printing. Customers have the option of choosing their clothing item and color, then picking from thousands of screen print designs, or even uploading their own graphic. This is a fun and interesting way to create unique clothing items. Customized screen printing is also a great way to have a business logo printed on a large number of t-shirts to be given away or sold as promotional merchandise. Since the process is fairly simple, it is a low cost option. And many printers will give a discount on large orders since they will be using the same screen design template over and over again.

Screen printing is very versatile and can be used for numerous purposes. Designs can be imprinted on clothing, writing instruments, toys, canvas bags, license plates, decals and much, much more. With screen printing, the options are endless, and setting up a personalized design is relatively low cost, especially since companies can reuse screens over and over again, saving a good bit of money and cutting the amount of waste caused from the process. Screen printing and silk screening are popular methods used by commercial industries as well as at home do it yourselfers.

Custom Embroidery Basics

Whether you are looking for company uniforms with a specific logo or you want your own creative design on a sweatshirt, or maybe you want a name on a baseball cap, you can achieve any of these things and more through customized embroidery.  This unique and professional looking method of design creates a logo, style, name, or any other design, specific to the requestor’s taste that is sewn directly onto the fabric item. Other methods of application, like screen printing, will wear out and crack with time, but embroidery lasts as long as the clothing item does, and it endures, looking just as new as it did when first embroidered.

Many businesses use custom embroidery services to create work clothing as well as promotional items.  Work uniforms can be embroidered with the company’s logo and can even include the employee’s name. This will create a professional and uniform look company wide.  Also, promotional items, like ball caps, can be embroidered with the company name or logo and then can be handed out to customers for a fine way of advertising.

Sports uniforms -- whether for T-ball or for professional teams -- that include custom embroidered team names, player names, and player numbers create a beautiful and lasting look, no matter how rough and tumble the sport may be.

Shopping bags, beach bags, diaper bags, and purses look elegant and classy when monograms are custom embroidered onto them. Many local shops specialize in monogramming, for the art can take a regular bag and turn it into a unique and personal item.  Custom embroidered bags make wonderful birthday, Christmas, or shower gifts.

The numbers of items that can be custom embroidered are almost limitless.  Embroidery companies offer aprons, bathrobes, baby clothing, jackets, windbreakers, hats, caps, sweatshirts, polo shirts, t-shirts, golf bags, scarves, towels and much, much more that can be custom embroidered to your design and requests.

All in all, custom embroidery is a fashionable and tasteful method of making an item unique to its owner.  Its uses are varied, and can be an excellent addition in the work environment or for many items in personal life. Custom embroidery can be fun or professional, it can be colorful or refined, and it can be informative or just for fun.  The options are limitless and the look is lasting. Custom embroidery is definitely worth a look when it comes to uniforms and personalized items.
